Kevin Rosen is a partner in the Los Angeles Office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He is a trial lawyer and serves as Chairman of Gibson Dunn's Law Firm Defense Practice Group. Over the past 31 years, Kevin has successfully defended over 120 high‑stakes cases for law firms across the United States in state and federal trial and appellate courts, bankruptcy courts, and in arbitrations, with aggregate claims exceeding $15 billion. Publications, including the LA Times, the California Daily Journal, and the American Lawyer, have referred to Kevin as "one of the preeminent lawyer's lawyers in the country" and the "go-to" lawyer for law firms. Among Kevin's more recent experiences, he tried and won a $600 million malpractice case against a national law firm in California, tried and won a $2 billion patent malpractice claim in a New York arbitration, tried and won a $60 million arbitration claim against a national law firm, obtained appellate reversal of a $34 million fraud and malpractice judgment rendered against a large Florida-based law firm, and persuaded the Oregon Supreme Court to uphold the internal law firm privilege. Kevin was also lead counsel in the Sheppard Mullin case before the California Supreme Court.
