Edith is an accomplished trial lawyer whose practice centers on the defense of lawyers in legal malpractice cases and business litigation. In addition, over the last fifteen years she has defended over 250 judges in disciplinary matters before the California Commission on Judicial Performance. She is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and in 2013 was named the CAL-ABOTA trial lawyer of the year. In 2014 she received the Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award from the Los Angeles County Bar Association. In 2008, she was named by the Litigation Section of the California State Bar as the California Trial Lawyer of the Year. In 2006, she received the "Champion of Justice" award from Loyola Law School. In 2010, she received the Ernestine Stahlhut Award from WLALA. She is a past president of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Chancery Club, the California Defense Counsel, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the Los Angeles Chapter of ABOTA. She is a former chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Lawyers' Professional Liability and served on the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. She is a past member of the California Judicial Council and was a member of its Executive and Planning Committee.
